MEN'S CLUB

There was a very good turnout for the Masters Competition played on Sunday the 16th of October. The winner with an excellent score of 72

in difficult weather conditions was former Westmeath hurling star Eamonn Murphy.The runner up was Bryan Crawford with a level par score

of 73. Congratulations to Bryan who also was the winner of the prestigious Masters trophy for 2011. The Vice Captain Sean Diver came third

with a very good score of 74. Pat Britton also recorded a score of 74 to win the fourth prize. The Gross winner with 79 was Aidan Faulkner.

Sunday 23rd October: Kevin Mundy who recently won the golfer of the year in the ‘Thursday Specials’ claimed his first major Sunday victory  

with a fantastic score of 40 points to win the Club Competition on Sunday last. Peter McDonnell who also played well in the difficult weather

conditions had 39 points to finish in second place. The Cork star Paul Murphy no stranger to the winners enclosure had 38 points to win the

third prize. Seamus Faulkner had 37 points to finish in fourth place. Aidan Faulkner was the gross winner with 34 points.

3 Sean Diver (14) 74, 4  Pat Britton (12) 74. Gross: Aidan Faulkner (4) 79.

Friday 21st October: Open Day Stableford Competition. 1 John Bell 35 pts, 2 Bobby O’Shea (6) 34 pts.

Sunday 23rd October Club Stableford Competition 1 Kevin Mundy (19) 40 pts, 2 Peter McDonnell (20) 39 pts, 3 Paul Murphy (16) 38 pts,

4 Seamus Faulkner (11) 37 pts. Gross: Aidan Faulkner (4) 34 pts.
