The 2017 North West Seniors took place here in Murvagh on the 2nd & 3rd of August with a lot of familiar faces taking to the links to battle it out for the title. There were some scattered showers and the usual wind blowing to contend with over the 2 days but this was no deterrent to competitors as they made the best of the conditions.

Local man Bobby O'Shea was to come out on top this year, beating Rossmore's Ronnie Berry by 1 shot in the end with the 2 men shooting a total of 159 and 160 respectively over the 2 days. Pat Symth of Killiney Golf Club took the nett prize on a break of tie from Terry Hayes from Mourne, with both men finishing on a total of 66pts.

A special thanks to the tournament sponsor, The Sandhouse Hotel & Spa, for again putting up great prizes and their continued support.
