Saturday 15th July saw Mrs. Miriam Bennett's Lady Captain's prize take place here in what were very difficult conditions for all that took part. The course was in pristine condition for the day, again thanks to the great work of our Greens staff, with everyone in attendance full of praise.
There were plenty of prizes available on the day, but it was the main prize that everyone had their eye on, the 18 hole Lady Captain's prize. It was Geraldine Gorman who came out on top on the day, battling the conditions to finish with 32pts, which was enough to just beat Alison McGrath, who had to settle for a runners up spot as she hadn't been able to get the required number of qualifying scores in, with 33pts. The Men played for the Lady Captain's prize to the Men the Sunday before and it was Emlyn Hughes who came out on top in what were tricky conditions that day also.

A fantastic evening was had by all with everyone enjoying a great meal and fantastic entertainment provided by Jody Gallagher (and the occasional guest appearance by some in attendance). With all prize winners in attendance to collect on the night. The Lady Captain thanked everyone for all the help in making her day a very successful one.
