Par 4 - 368 Metres/402 Yards
Hole Description
To the locals, the word 'murvagh' means a low lying plain that can be reclaimed by the sea. The 9th tee box boasts a spectacular view of the beach, known locally as the Back Strands, as well as Benbulben, Mullaghmore and the Atlantic Ocean. Murvagh Beach is one of the many Blue Flag beaches in Donegal and is a regular stop for those following the "Wild Atlantic Way".
Pro's Tip
Favour the left from the tee to open up the green for an easier approach. Longer hitters can carry the fairway bunker but this is not the percentage shot, as anything under-hit lands in the bunker and anything to the right dances with the forest and deep rough. Play for the centre of the green to avoid having to take severely breaking putts.
